Biography:

  • Hung Tuan Pham was born into a musical family that spans generations. During the 1950’s His grandfather founded the Ha Noi professional school of musical. His father, Pham Anh Tuan and mother, Nguyen Thuy Ha, as well as other close family members continue to be recognized for their past and present masterful musical contributions.

 

  • Pham Tuan Hung inherited his musical interest and passion for music at age four. Under the guidance of his grandfather, Pham Duc Can, and his father, Pham Tuan Hung continued to develop musically by having a constant exposure to different musical instruments as well as musical styles.

 

  • Pham Tuan Hung graduated from the Hanoi Conservatory now known as “Vietnam National Music Academy.” He has lectured at several musical schools including the Vietnam National Music Academy, and University of Army Musical School. His lecture topics included Piano Jazz, mastering Jazz, Inspirational Jazz, Improvising Jazz and Blues-Jazz.

 

  • As an outstanding student, Pham Tuan Hung gained teaching experience while attending the Swedish Malmo Music Academy and Becklee College of Music, Boston.

 

Professional Experiences:

  • Pham Tuan Hung has performed in and has been highlighted in many international musical concerts and Jazz festivals. United States, France, Japan, Russia, Denmark, German, Sweden, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, and Malaysia make up the growing list of countries that Pham Tuan Hung has touched by his musical talent.

 

 

  • In 2000 and 2006 Pham Tuan Hung represented the National Conservatory of Vietnam, performing for President Bill Clinton, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

 

  • Pham Tuan Hung hosted the VTV3s Music Game Shows from 2006-2009

 

  • He hosted the top rated T.V. games show, Do Re Mi, seeking talented young elementary school aged children.

 

  • He represented Vietnam in the European Jazz Festival 2004

 

  • He was the former leader of Hanoi Conservatory Jazz Discovery Band

 

  • He has received First Prize in recognition of excellence in National Conference of Professional Bands – 2002

 

  • He was the band leader, singer, and composer of Mua Xuan Band (Spring Band), Hanoi, 1998-2002

 

Professional Achievements

  • Founder of Holy Light Entertainment, LLC since 2009-present
  • Leader of Holylight Band
  • Awarded Best Musician, Superior Technique title at National Conference of Professional Bands in 2002
  • Received an award of Excellence in a keyboard competition sponsored by the Casio Company of Japan
  • Achieved the Best Keyboard player award in National Youth Bands named Dia Nhac Xanh (Green Compact Disc) in 1998
  • Gained the First prize winner of the National Youth Bands of Vietnam in 1998
